[origin: ES8204053A1] A flow machine particularly a superheated gas turbine comprises a housing with a rotor disposed in the housing for rotation therein and sealed at each end with the housing by a labyrinth seal. The construction includes rotor shaft bearings which rotatably support the shafts and which are supported by bearing blocks disposed on the foundation. The housing and the shaft are mounted relative to each other by means of fluid pressure operated cushions adjacent each end of the shaft and adjacent the labyrinth seal so as to maintain the shafts and the seals with a predetermined clearance.
