Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0042587A1] 1. Method for modifying speech signals divided into segments for ciphered transmission, wherein the individual signal segments (T) are compressed in time by reading them into storages and out of them with different rates, characterized in that the time intervals (Tu ) obtained by said compression are used of the repeated transmission of the edge portions of each signal segment, such that the original signal is continued at the intersection of each segment of the ciphered signals and characterized in that the ciphered signal is combined with a weighting function within the intervals (Tu ) obtained by said compression, such that in said intervals a desired switching function is generated.
