Abstract (en)
Gas turbine comprising means for controlling the admission speed of the gases driving the turbine to the wheel of the latter. The said control means consist of curved segments (14, 15) defining most of the length of the spiral inner profile of the body (1) of the turbine and adjustable in terms of their position relative to the wheel (2) under the action of control members (18, 19, 20) controlled from outside. The invention is used particularly on an exhaust-gas turbine for driving a supercharging compressor of internal-combustion engines, the adjustable-spiral turbine making it possible to drive the compressor at a speed ensuring high efficiency, independently of the speed of the engine. <IMAGE>

Turbine à gaz comprenant des moyens pour contrôler la vitesse d'admission des gaz d'entraînement de la turbine sur la roue de cette dernière. Lesdits moyens de contrôle sont constitués par des segments incurvés 14, 15 définissant la majeure partie de la longueur du profil interne en volute du corps (1) de la turbine et réglables dans leur position par rapport à la roue (2) sous l'action d'organes de contrôle (18, 19, 20) commandés de l'extérieur. Application : notamment à une turbine à gaz déchappement pour l'entraînement d'un compresseur de suralimentation de moteurs à combustion interne, la turbine à volute réglable permettant d'entrainer le compresseur à un régime procurant un bon rendement, indépendamment du régime du moteur.
