Abstract (en)
The invention relates to devices providing a seal in tunnel-type furnaces. It relates to a device for the sealing closure of the lower surface of the firing chamber of a tunnel-type furnace in which a set of trolleys moves. According to the invention, each trolley bears a seal (32) comprising a jacket (34) of flexible material in which a fluid circulates. The ends of the seal (32) dip into channels (26) which provide a seal along the lateral walls of the furnace when the trolleys move forward. Application to tunnel-type furnaces in brick works and tile works. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne les dispositifs assurant l'étanchéité dans les fours-tunnels. Elle se rapporte à un dispositif de fermeture étanche de la face inférieure de la chambre de cuisson d'un four-tunnel dans lequel se déplace une rame de wagons. Selon l'invention) chaque wagon porte un joint (32) comprenant une enveloppe (34) d'une matière souple dans laquelle circule un fluide. Les extémités du joint (32) plongent dans des rigoles (26) qui assurent l'étanchéité le long des parois latérales du four, lorsque les wagons avancent. Application aux fours-tunnels des briquetteries et tuileries.
