1. Fitting for window, door, or the like, comprising a connection device between, on the one hand, a box (1) containing a mechanism driven by at least a control rod (14) or acting upon said control rod (14) counter sunk into a groove made in the edge or the edges of the opening leaf or the frame and re-covered by at least a head (10, 11) and, on the other hand, the above-mentioned head, said connection device being provided with means (37, 81) allowing to bolt an end of the head fitted in the interior of the box, characterized in that the end of the head fitted in the interior of the box is disposed between the flanks (15, 16) of said box (1) and the bolting means (37, 81) are composed of a sliding clog (37) integral with the box (1) and having a C-shaped cross-section whose the parallel wings (40, 41) cover the parallel walls (19, 20) of the housing (13) provided in the box to receive the control rod (14) and whose the transversal wall (43) fixes the head (10).
