[origin: US4393207A] Alkoxyalkylaminotriazine trans-etherification products are obtained by reacting an alkoxyalkylaminotriazine of the general formula <IMAGE> (I) where X is hydrogen, alkyl, phenyl, alkylphenyl or <IMAGE> A and B are hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl or <IMAGE> and R and R' are hydrogen or alkyl, with from 0.1 to 6 moles, per mole of alkoxyalkylaminotriazine, of a beta -hydroxyaldehyde of the general formula <IMAGE> where R'', R''' and R'''' are identical or different and each is hydrogen or alkyl or R''' and R'''' together with the alpha -carbon atom form a cyclopentane or cyclohexane ring, and R''' and/or R'''' can also be hydroxyalkyl and R'''' can also be phenyl, in the presence of an acidic catalyst, and removing the alcohol resulting from the trans-etherification. The alkoxyalkylaminotriazine trans-etherification products may be used in baking finishes and acid-hardening surface coatings.

Die Erfindung betrifft Alkoxialkylaminotriazin-Umetherungsprodukte. Diese werden durch Umsetzung von Alkoxialkylaminotriazinen der allgemeinen Formel <IMAGE> worin X für Wasserstoff, einen Alkylrest, einen Phenyl- oder Alkylphenylrest oder für den Rest <IMAGE> steht, A und B für Wasserstoff, einen Alkylrest, einen Alkenylrest oder den Rest -?H-OR' stehen, R und R' für Wasserstoff oder eine Alkylgruppe stehen, mit 0,1 bis 6 Mol, pro Mol Alkoxialkylaminotriazin, eines β-Hydroxialdehyds der allgemeinen Formel <IMAGE> worin R", R‴ und R"" untereinander gleich oder verschieden sind und für Wasserstoff, eine Alkylgruppe stehen oder R‴ bzw. R"" zusammen mit dem α-Kohlenstoffatom einen Cyclopentan- oder Cyclohexanring bilden sowie R‴ und/oder R"" außerdem für einen Hydroxialkylrest und R"" für einen Phenylrest stehen können, in Gegenwart saurer Katalysatoren und Entfernung des bei der Umetherung entstehenden Alkohols erhalten. Diese Alkoxialkylaminotriazin-Umetherungsprodukte eignen sich für Einbrennlacke und säurehärtende Lacke.
