A lighting system constructed as a spotlight for use on stages, in halls or the like. A plurality of spotlights are used in this connection. The individual spotlight (11) consists of a housing (12) in which is accommodated a light source (13), the intensity of whose transmitted light can be controlled. In order to achieve a simple, compact structure for each spotlight, and an operation thereof that is low in power loss, individual and convenient, as well as quick, each individual spotlight (13) is assigned its own power unit (23) for controlling the light intensity. This power unit (23) is installed exchangeably in the housing (12) of the spotlight (13). The result is a compact spotlight that is quick and convenient to operate. <IMAGE>

Als Scheinwerfer ausgebildete Beleuchtungseinrichtung für den Einsatz auf Bühnen, in Sälen oder dgl. Dabei kommen eine Vielzahl von Scheinwerfern zum Einsatz. Der einzelne Scheinwerfer (11) besteht aus einem Gehäuse (12), in dem eine Lichtquelle (13) untergebracht ist, deren abgestrahltes Licht in seiner Intensität steuerbar ist. Zur Erzielung eines einfachen, kompakten Aufbaus jedes Scheinwerfers und einer leistungsverlustarmen, individuellen und bequemen sowie schnellen Bedienung desselben ist jedem einzelnen Scheinwerfer (13) eine eigene Leistungseinheit (23) zur Steuerung der Lichtintensität zugeordnet. Diese Leistungseinheit (23) ist in das Gehäuse (12) des Scheinwerfers (13) auswechselbar eingebaut. Dadurch ergibt sich ein kompakter und schnell und handlich bedienbarer Scheinwerfer.
