A method of heating rooms in which at least one outside wall possesses a cavity which is connected to the room by two apertures, one in the vicinity of the ceiling of the room and one in the vicinity of the floor, so that the air warmed in the room flows through the upper aperture into the cavity and, as a consequence of cooling, moves downward in the cavity in order to re-emerge into the room through the lower aperture in the vicinity of the floor, the air being heated either on flowing into the room or in the room itself. An additional heating unit which can simultaneously enhance the air circulation can be provided in one aperture, preferably the lower aperture. (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>

Verfahren zum Beheizen von Wohnräumen, bei dem wenigstens eine Außenwand einen Hohlraum aufweist, der durch zwei Öffnungen mit dem Wohnraum verbunden ist, und zwar eine in der Nähe der Decke des Wohnraumes und eine in der Nähe des Fußbodens, so daß die im Wohnraum erwärmte Luft durch die obere Öffnung in den Hohlraum strömt und sich in Folge Abkühlung im Hohlraum senkt, um durch die untere Öffnung in der Nähe des Fußbodens wieder in den Wohnraum einzutreten, wobei die Luft entweder beim Einströmen in den Wohnraum oder im Wohnraum selbst erhitzt wird. Ein zusätzliches Heizaggregat, welches gleichzeitig die Luftzirkulation fördern kann, kann in der vorzugsweise unteren Öffnung vorgesehen sein.
