[origin: EP0044281A2] Improvements in the wire guiding systems in winding machines, in which the wire (4) on its path from the wire-feed source to the winding bobbin (15) is supported on a wire-guiding roller (1), this wire-guiding roller being supported by an undercarriage (2) which is displaceable in a stepless and uniform manner from one end position to another and is capable of reversing the running direction while the end positions are preferably determined by a microswitch, a photocell or a contactless subminiature switch (9, 12, 13). The abovementioned undercarriage is displaced along fixed guides (3) by means of an element such as endless screws (5), the speed of rotation of which is adjustable. The flanges (16), which maintain the winding reel (15) in the winding phase, have at least the same diameter as the flanges of the reel and can grip over the outer edge thereof. <IMAGE>
