Abstract (en)
The condenser comprises a relatively large, smooth bore tube (1) as the condenser body. A number of smaller diameter tubes (2) are inserted inside the large tube and then attached by a pressure-tight joint to a header plate (5), installed inside a cylindrical fitting (6) over the end of the large bore pipe.S The fitting has a side connection (7) for cooling water and an end connection (10) of reduced diameter for the refrigerant. The assembly is then formed into a number of helical coils to produce a compact counterflow condenser with a relatively large heat transfer surface which is more effective than condensers using finned tubes.

Der Kondensator, insbesondere für Kälteanlagen und/oder Wärmepumpen nimmt in einem Mantelrohr (1) zur Verbesserung des Wärmeübergangs und Vermeidung von Pulsationsgeräuschen mehrere innen und außen glattwandige Innenrohre (2) zur Durchleitung von Wasser und zwischen dem Mantelrohr und den Innenrohren einen Durchflußraum (3) für flüssiges und/oder gasförmiges Kältemittel auf.
