Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0044449A2] A case for electric installation devices consists of a container (1) and a cover (2), formed from a resilient material, which is located in a sealing manner on the upper rim (3) of the container and surrounds the latter with a collar-like extension (4). In this arrangement, the cover is retained by latches (7), integrally formed on opposite inner sides of the extension, on corresponding latches (59) on the outer side of the upper rim of the container. Furthermore, the case has contact points (8, 9), provided in the region of the latches, for the insertion of a tool (10) to release the latching. To facilitate release of the cover from the end face of the case, so that the case can also be installed in such positions where subsequent access from the side is not possible and so that the container and cover can be produced in simple forming tools without requiring special forming aids such as sliding side moulds or the like, the latches at the rim of the container stand completely proud above the outer wall (6) of the container and, furthermore, the container wall is tapered in the direction towards the base of the container and the latches on the cover are formed by a cut-out (8) penetrating the surface of the cover and this cut-out forms the contact point (9) for the tool. <IMAGE>
