1. A method for producing a thermally insulating hollow block, in which a thermally insulating filling consisting of interlocking mineral fibers is introduced at least partially into the chambers of the hollow block which are open at least on one side, and the open ends of the chambers are then sealed by applying a thin layer of material, characterized in that mineral fibers reduced in size are withdrawn in proportioned amounts from a supply, and then introduced simultaneously from above via the open ends of the chambers into the chambers (2) of several hollow blocks (1) arranged one beside the other, the mineral fibers being introduced into the chambers pneumatically by applying overpressure and/or a vacuum, or mechanically by stuffing.

Der Hohlblockstein zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass seine einzelnen Steinkammern eine wärmedämmende Füllung aus Mineralfasern aufweisen, die entweder mechanisch durch Stopfen oder pneumatisch durch Anwendung von Überdruck und/oder Unterdruck in die Hohlblocksteinkammern eingebracht worden sind. Ein derart wärmegedämmter Hohlblockstein (1) lässt sich nicht nur automatisch und kostengünstig herstellen, sondern gewährleistet auch eine ausserordentlich vorteilhafte Wärmedämmung (4b). Die Vorrichtung zur Herstellung des Hohlblocksteins bzw. zur Durchführung des Herstellungsverfahrens weist zum Füllen der Hohlblocksteinkammern in jedem Fall eine Dosierform (107) auf, aus der die dosierte Mineralfasermenge entweder durch einen Stopfstempel oder aber durch Beaufschlagung mit Druckluft in die Hohlblocksteinkammern eingebracht wird.
