Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0045374A1] 1. Gripper mechanism on cylinders for printing machines, particularly rotary sheet printing machines for recto and verstoprinting, wherein the gripper mechanism consists of cam-controlled grippers (13) rotatably arranged on a gripper shaft (11) and a gripper base (12) and is arranged rotatably in a cylinder channel (2) within the shape of the cylinder in such a way that a rubber blanket (16) necessary for the printing can be inserted and tensioned between the gripper base and the cylinder channel wall (15), characterized in that the gripper shaft (11) is mounted eccentrically in mouting bushes (10) which in turn are mounted in the side walls of the cylinder channel (2), that the gripper base (12) mounted on the gripper shaft (11) is supported via a link (9) pivoted rotatably to the floor of the cylinder channel (7) at (8), so that thereby on rotating the bearing bushes (10) the gripper shaft (11) with the grippers (13) and gripper base (12) can be moved away from the cylinder channel wall (15), wherein the dimensioning of the eccentricity an the link connecion between gripper shaft (11), gripper base (12), link (9) and link pivot point (8) is so determined that gripper and gripper base are movable approximately in the cylinder peripheral direction.
