Die Erfindung betrifft ein Dünn-Buch, bestehend aus einem gebundenen Buchblock, der in eine Decke eingehängt ist, wobei der Buchblock je einen außenliegenden Bogen (42) aufweist, der in der üblichen Bindungsart mit dem Buchblock verbunden ist, der Buchblockrücken über eine Klebstoffschicht (45) an einen Deckenbogen (47) geklebt ist, der den Buchblock deckenartig umgibt, und wobei die Außenflächen (53) des Deckenbogens (47) auf die freien Innenflächen der Deckel (50) der Decke (29) geklebt sind. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des Dünnbuchs, indem einzelne Lagen oder Blatter zu einem Buchblock zusammengetragen werden, der Buchblock gebunden wird, anschließend in eine Decke eingehängt und abgepreßt und ein Beschneiden durchgeführt wird, wobei die zusammengetragenen Produkte vor dem Rückenbeleimen im Klebebinder fertig beschnitten und die Buchblocks im Klebebinder in die Decke eingehängt werden. Das Verfahren wird zweckmäßigerweise in einer Vorrichtung durchgeführt, bestehend aus einer Buchstraße, die in der Zusammenstellung und in der Folge eine Zusammentragmaschine (1) aufweist, der ein Trimmer (2), vorzugsweise mit einer Stanzperforationsanlage, nachgeordnet ist, wobei dem Trimmer ein Klebebinder (4) folgt, in den eine Deckeneinhängevorrichtung integriert ist.
