1. A device for producing products with at least one transverse fold which are cut parallel to the same and are selectively delivered after the transverse fold or provided with another, longitudinal, fold, comprising a folding unit constisting of a folding flap cylinder (2) co-acting with a knife cylinder (4), said folding flap cylinder (2) being followed by a positioning star (21) and a belt transport (23) which is selectively acted upon and which leads to a folding knife (22), characterized in that in the segments between the folding flaps (1), the folding flap cylinder (2) is provided with a shearing knife (14) projecting beyond the circumference thereof and respectively co-acting with a second shearing knife (16) mounted on a knife support cylinder (15) adjacent to said folding flap cylinder (2) and downstream of the knife cylinder (4) in the direction of rotation, and that in the segment of the belt transport (23) which is spaced from the folding flap cylinder by at least the amount the shearing knife (14) projects beyond the circumference thereof, the folding flap cylinder (2) is associated with a gripper cylinder (27) incorporating controlled grippers which engage the folding flaps (1) and move over the shearing knife (14), and in the segment of the positioning star (21) downstream of the belt transport (23) in the direction of rotation a controlled flap (24) with lift fingers (25) which engage the folding flaps (1) and move over the shearing knife (14).

Bei einem Falzapparat zur Herstellung von zumindest einmal quergefalzten Produkten, der einen mit einem Falzmesserzylinder (4) zusammenwirkenden Falzklappenzylinder (2), dem ein Auslegestern (21) und eine wahlweise hierzu beaufschlagbare, zu einem Falzschwert (22) führende Bandführung (23) nachgeordnet sind, aufweist, kann dadurch ein querfalzparalleler Beschnitt der Falzprodukte im Falzapparat selbst und damit eine Auslage von auf drei Seiten beschnittenen, quergefalzten und wahlweise mit einem weiteren Längsfalz versehenen Produkten erfolgen, daß der Falzklappenzylinder (2) in den Bereichen zwischen seinen Falzklappen (1) mit jeweils einem über seinen Umfang vorstehenden Scherenschnittmesser (14) versehen ist, das mit jeweils einem zweiten Scherenschnittmesser (16) zusammenwirkt, welches auf einem dem Falzklappenzylinder (2) benachbarten, in Drehrichtung dem Falzklappenzylinder (4) nachgeordneten Messerträgerzylinder (15) angeordnet ist, und daß dem Falzklappenzylinder (2) im Bereich der zumindest um den Überstand der Scherenschnittmesser (14) hiervon entfernten Bandführung (23) ein Greiferzylinder (27) mit gesteuerten, in die Falzklappen (1) eingreifenden, über die Scherenschnittmesser (14) hinweggehenden Aushebegreifern (29) und im Bereich des der Bandführung (23) in Drehrichtung nachgeordneten Auslegesterns (21) eine gesteuerte Klappe (24) mit in die Falzklappen (1) eingreifenden, über die Scherenschnittmesser (14) hinweggehenden Aushebezungen (25) zugeordnet ist.
