1. Means around the peripheral zone of a projectile (2) for a rear loading barrel weapon with an upsettable sealing element (7...) and an element (9...) having a receiving surface (8...) for transmitting the gas pressure building up in the firing operation to the sealing element (7...) in such a way that a component (R) results therefrom which acts radially outwards on an outer surface of the sealing element and which is directed towards the inner wall (30) of the barrel, characterized by the fact that the means after loading the projectile (2) is located in the calibre part (31) of a smooth bore weapon, the outer surface of the element (9...) resting against the internal wall surface (30) of the barrel, the maximum size of the exterior of the sealing element (7...) being equal to the calibre and the component (R) acting radially outwards producing between the outer surface (6) of the sealing element (7...) and the inner wall surface (30) of the barrel a frictional contact which cannot be nullified until after a gas pressure has been reached which is sufficient for a required muzzle velocity for the projectile (2).

Die Dichtanordnung bei Munition - hier mit unterkalibrigem Fluggeschoß (1) und Treibspiegel (2) - für eine Glattrohrwaffe mit einer Rohrinnenfläche (30) eines Rohres (31) ist im Umfangsbereich des Treibspiegels (2) in unmittelbarer Nähe einer Gasdruckaufnahmefläche (5) angeordnet. An letztere schließt sich in Schußrichtung (S) eine Aufnahmefläche (12) und an diese eine gegen die Schußrichtung (S) geneigte, gegen die Umfangsfläche (3) des Treibspiegels (2) ansteigende vordere Anlagefläche (14) an. Ein Dichtelement (7.7) im wesentlichen dreieckigen Querschnitts ist vollflächig mit der Anlagefläche (14) verbunden und rückseitig mit einem bandförmigen Körper (9.4) belegt. Dieser erganzt mit seiner rückseitigen Aufnahmefläche (8.8) und einer im Umfangsbereich angeordneten Dichtlippe (17) die Gasdruckaufnahmefläche (5) bis in die unmittelbare Nachbarschaft der Rohrinnenfläche (30). Durch Druckaufbau bei der Schußentwicklung wird das Dichtelement (17) zusammengedrückt. Hierbei legt es sich im Umfangsbereich (6) durch dessen Auswandern in Richtung eines Pfeils (R) zum Gewährleisten ausreichder gegenseitiger Flächenpressung mit Dichtwirkung - auch im Zusammenwirken mit der Dichtlippe (17) - an die Rohrinnenfläche (30) an.
