Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8200925A1] The coupling device (1) comprising a male portion (2) and a female portion (3) for the releasable coupling particularly of the terminations of high voltage conductors and low voltage control conductors, and a locking means intended to prevent the inadvertent separation of the two portions, must enable a simple handling of the female portion (3) and particularly also be adapted to voltages of more than 500 volts. To this effect, the locking means is comprised of one element (8) moving the portions (2, 3) of the device one with respect to the other, in a coupling, respectively, uncoupling position, and locking them in a coupling position. The female portion (3) is further provided with a safety sliding means (23) covering the connection contacts when the two portions are uncoupled and which may be pushed to an open position allowing the coupling by a control surface (25) provided on the male portion (2), after a first connection of the two portions of the device.
