1. A darkroom lamp having at least one light-emitting diode (100) which is supplied pulsewise by a direct-current source (80; 122), characterized in that the direct-current pulses are generated with pulse amplitudes in time intervals at a low pulse duration (t) with respect to their pulse repetition period (T) and at a pulse repetition frequency (1/T) which is many times higher as compared with the frequency of the alternating-current line voltage, said pulse amplitudes being many times greater within the range of the allowed dissipated power of the light-emitting diode (100) than the rated current thereof for continuous direct-current supply.

Bei einer Dunkelkammerleuchte mit mindestens einer Leuchtdiode (100) erfolgt zur Erhöhung der Erkennbarkeit der beleuchteten Gegenstände und zur Verringerung der Einwirkung auf fotografische Materialien die Speisung dieser Leuchtdiode (100) mit Gleichstromimpulsen, die eine gegenüber ihrer Folgezeit (T) geringe Impulsdauer (t), eine relativ hohe Impulsfolgefrequenz ((1/T)) und hohe Impulsamplituden haben. Die Leuchtdiode (100) kann mit einer von einem Stromstellelement (140A, 140B) gebildeten Konstantstromquelle in Reihe geschaltet sein.
