Claims for the contracting state : GB An appliance, more especially an electric household appliance, provided with a door (4) with a facing panel (7) connected to it by pivot links (10, 13 and 18) which with the latter, the facing panel and the door form an articulating linkage of the parallelogram type, the door pivoting about horizontal axes, characterized in that the assembly made up of the pivot links (10, 13 and 18), the facing panel (7) and the door (4) forms deflectable parallelograms having an area other than zero when the door is in a closed position, and in that there is a positive component of the forces applied to these parallelograms, which moves the facing panel towards this door. 1. Claims for the contracting state : SE An appliance, more especially an electrical household appliance, comprising a front door (4) adapted to pivot about a horizontal axis (6) between a vertical closed position and a horizontal open position and provided with a facing panel (7) connected with it by a system provided with pivot links in such a manner as to be applied to this door in the vertical position and remote from the door in the opened position, characterized in that it firstly comprises four pivot links (18) articulating on one side at the ends of their out halves about horizontal axes in pivot joints (19) secured to the inner surface of the facing panel (7) and on the other side by parts of their inner halves, carrying their inner ends, pivoting about horizontal axes, in pivot joints (20) secured to the outer wall (17) of the door (4), and secondly two coupling rods (22) pivotally connecting the inner ends of these pivot links in order to form, with the pivot links, the facing panel and the door, two sets of twinned deflectable parallelograms.
