In a fastening device, having a retaining plate (1) and to be anchored by means of a dowel in the brickwork (2), for fastening backing constructions for panelling walls and ceilings, the retaining plate (1) is provided with a bore (3) through which can pass the screw (4) which is used for spreading the dowel. The retaining plate (1) is arranged between the nut, screwed onto the end of the screw, or the head (5) of the screw (4) and a counterpart (6), the retaining plate (1) being rotatable about the screw (4). The dowel is designed as a metal-cone spreading dowel or as a plastic spreading dowel. The bore (3) can be designed as an oblong hole so that the retaining plate (1) can also be moved with respect to the screw (4). By means of this arrangement it is possible both to match the retaining plate (1) to wooden laths (20), which are not precisely true, and to compensate for displacements of the dowels resulting from misplaced bore holes or bore holes that are displaced to take into account the reinforcement present in the concrete. The fastening device according to the invention is suitable for the use of a method in which the alignment or levelling of the wall or ceiling panelling takes place when the dowels are anchored and, to be precise, by appropriate setting of the screw which causes the dowel to spread. <IMAGE>

Bei einem ein Halteblech (1) aufweisenden und mittels eines Dübels im Mauerwerk (2) zu verankernden Befestigungselement zum Befestigen von Unterkonstruktionen für Wand- und Deckenverkleidungen ist das Halteblech (1) mit einer Bohrung (3) zum Hindurchführen der die Spreizung des Dübels bewirkenden Schraube (4) versehen. Das Halteblech (1) ist zwischen der auf das Ende der Schraube aufgedrehten Mutter bzw. dem Kopf (5) der Schraube (4) und einem Gegenstück (6) angeordnet, wobei das Halteblech (1) um die Schraube (4) drehbar ist. Der Dübel ist als Metall-Konusspreizdübel oder als Kunststoff-Spreizdübel ausgebildet. Die Bohrung (3) kann als Langlock ausgebildet sein, so daß das Halteblech (1) zu der Schraube (4) auch verschiebbar ist. Dadurch ist sowohl eine Anpassung des Halteblechs (1) an nicht genau gerade verlaufende Holzlatten (20) als auch ein Ausgleich von Versetzungen der Dübel infolge verlaufener oder mit Rücksicht auf die im Beton vorhandene Armierung versetzter Bohrlöcher möglich. Das erfindungsgemäße Befestigungselement eignet sich zur Anwendung eines Verfahrens, bei dem die Ausrichtung bzw. Nivellierung der Wand- oder Deckenverkleidung bereits bei der Verankerung der Dübel erfolgt, und zwar durch entsprechende Einstellung der die Spreizung des Dübels bewirkenden Schraube.
