1. A protective switch (1) of compact construction having an insulating housing which has an upper part (3) with an opening which serves for the passage of an operating lever (11), and a lower part (4) which is provided for support on a fixing or assembly surface (25), and having a switching mechanism and a tripping bar (17) which cooperates therewith and which, apart from current-dependent tripping elements (12, 16), can be operated by a tripping pin (20) which protrudes at the underside of the lower part (4) and is guided in the housing (2) so as to be displaceable against spring force, characterised in that the tripping pin (20) has both an offset member which is near to the tripping bar (17) and is positioned in a groove (21) in an outer wall of the housing (2) which opens towards the inside of the housing (2), and an attachment (30), on the offset component (27), which co-operates with the tripping bar (17).

Ein Schutzschalter (1) der Kompaktbauart besitzt einen Auslösestift (20), der beim Abheben des Schutzschalters (1) von seiner Montagefläche (25) zwangsläufig die Auslösung des Schaltmechanismus veranlaßt. Eine raumsparende Anordnung des Auslösestiftes (20) wird durch eine in einer Außenwand (22) des Gehäuses (2) angeordnete Nut (21) erreicht, in welcher der Auslösestift (20) längsverschiebbar und gegen Verdrehung geschützt geführt ist. Das obere Ende (27) des Auslösestiftes (20) ist abgekröpft und greift in die Windungen einer Schrauben-Druckfeder (32) ein, die als Kraftspeicher für die Auslösung dient und zugleich eine nachgiebige Führung des Auslösestiftes (20) ermöglicht.
