Abstract (en)

A coating medium in foamed form is to be placed in front of a coating device, the coating device being, for example, a revolving ductor, a doctor blade, slotted ductor or the like, but it can also be a suction device. A displaceable flow device is to be provided as feed device which is connected to a drive for its movement to and fro or can be provided with such a drive. This feed device for foam places the latter in a space (4) which serves as storage space and is located in front of or above the coating device. The movement to and fro of the feed device allows an even placing of the foam over large operating widths. This is important in the application of foam because the foam does not flow in the same manner as other application media of a liquid or pasty consistency. Even feeding of large quantities of foam for the coating device is possible. Several flow devices can also be provided which are each guided over partial widths and are movable such that in interaction they fill the entire operating width. Ein Auftragsmedium in verschäumter Form soll vor einer Auftragseinrichtung abgelegt werden, wobei die Auftragseinrichtung, z.B. eine Rollrakel, Streichrakel, Schlitzrakel od.dgl. sein kann, aber auch eine Durchsaugeinrichtung. Dabei soll als Zuführungsvorrichtung eine verfahrbare Ausflußvorrichtung vorgesehen werden, die für ihre Hin- und Herbewegung mit einem Antrieb verbunden bzw. mit einem solchen versehbar ist. Diese Zuführungsvorrichtung für Schaum legt diesen in einen vor oder über der Auftragsvorrichtung liegenden, als Vorratsraum dienenden Raum (4) ab. Das Hin- und Herfahren der Zuführungsvorrichtung ermöglicht ein über große Arbeitsbreiten gleichmässiges Ablegen oder Vorlegen des Schaumes. Dies ist bei dem Auftrag von Schaum wichtig, weil der Schaum nicht in der Weise verfließt wie andere Auftragsmedien, die eine flüssige oder pastöse Konsistenz haben. Es ist eine gleichmäßige Zuführung großer Mengen Schaum für die Auftragsvorrichtung möglich. Es können auch mehrere Ausflußvorrichtungen vorgesehen sein, die jeweils über Teilbreiten geführt sind und in ihrer Zusammenarbeit die Gesamtarbeitsbreite füllens bewegbar sind. Vorzugsweise wird der Schaum durch ein Sieb aufgetragen.
