[origin: EP0049661A1] 1. A method for the continuous production of letter-cards personalized by computer, of the type comprising operations consisting in printing a series of forms on a continuous strip of paper ; cutting out an opening in each form printed on the strip of paper, each opening being cut out at a location such that, after the corresponding form has subsequently been folded in two, an address area on the form is visible through the opening ; placing an adhesive product on the areas of the paper strip corresponding to at least one section of the periphery of each form ; forming, in each form, four lines of cutting-out perforations which delimit between them a rectangular area which defines a letter area and is at a distance from the address and opening area ; personalizing each form by passing the continuous paper strip through a printer controlled by a computer ; cutting the paper strip such that the personalized forms are separated from one another ; folding and closing the personalized forms so as to obtain individual letter-cards ready to be dispatched, characterized in that the openings are cut out after the forms have been personalized and without the application of a window made of transparent or translucent material ; and in that the application of the adhesive product consists also in applying some adhesive product on at least one of the two areas of each form which are situated respectively between the opening and the letter area of the form and between the letter area and the address area of the said form.
