[origin: ES8206231A1] To avoid loss of temperature of a melt contained in casting ladles in a continuous casting operation, an independently rotatable platform adapted to receive a heating device is disposed on a slewing column of a slewing tower for ladles. The heating device is similar to that of an arc melting furnace and comprises a vertically adjustable electrode holder of outrigger configuration whose guide column is arranged eccentrically on the platform so that a current carrying cable can be installed to extend centrally through the platform and through the slewing column. The cables are secured by a clamping plate at a perpendicular distance from the platform, such that the electrode holder, as seen from the casting position, can pivot in both pivoting directions through approximately 180 DEG , without the cable tearing as a result of twisting.

Zur Vermeidung von Temperaturverlusten beim Stranggießen der in Gießpfannen (6, 7) befindlichen Schmelze ist auf der Schwenksäule (3) eines Pfannendrehturms (2) eine unabhängig drehbare Plattform (8) zur Aufnahme einer Heizeinrichtung (9) angeordnet. Die Heizeinrichtung ähnelt derjenigen eines Lichtbogen-Schmelzofens und umfaßt einen höhenverstellbaren auslegerartigen Elektrodenhalter (12), dessen Führungssäule (10) außermittig auf der Plattform angeordnet ist, so daß die stromführenden Kabel (26) mittig durch die Plattform und die Schwenksäule verlegt werden können. Sie sind in einem derartigen senkrechten Abstand von der Plattform an einer Klemmplatte (27) festgelegt, daß der Elektrodenhalter - von der Gießposition aus gesehen-in beiden Schwenkrichtungen um ca. 180° schwenken kann, ohne daß die Kabel durch ihre Verwindung abreißen könnten.
