Abstract (en)
The apparatus makes it possible for the underwater hull of a speedboat to function at slow speed or half-speed, by reducing the power necessary for its propulsion at the said speeds. It comprises a hull for a speedboat of hydroplaning design, wherein the width of the rear portion has been gradually reduced from the centre 3 to the rear 4 with no amendment to the remaining part of the bottom 9, the hull being fitted with thin keels 10 which are preferably orientable and retractable. The invention can be used whenever it is desired to obtain a boat which operates with a minimum of power both at high speeds and at low speeds. <IMAGE>

Dispositif permettant de faire fonctionner une carène de navire rapide à allure lente ou demi-lente, en diminuant la puissance nécessaire à sa propulsion auxdites allures. Il comporte une coque de navire rapide de formes hydroplanantes, dont la largeur de la portion arrière a été diminuée progressivement du milieu 3 à l'arrière 4, sans modification de la partie restante du fond 9, la coque recevant des ailerons 10 de préférence orientables et escamotables. L'invention peut être utilisée chaque fois que l'on veut obtenir un navire qui fonctionne avec le minimum de puissance, aussi bien aux allures rapides qu'aux allures lentes.
