The invention relates to a device for supporting the elbow joints (9) of a person employed in polishing glass articles on a work stage (1) of a polishing machine. It consists essentially of an elastic supporting ring (5) arranged flat and of essentially round cross-section. The elbow joint (9) can be inserted into the clear width (8) of the supporting ring. The dimensions of the cross-sectional radius (14) and clear width (8) are selected so that the angled elbow joint (9) inserted into the clear width does not pass through the clear width completely. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zum Abstützen der Ellbogengelenke (9) einer mit dem Schleifen von Glaswaren beschäftigten Person auf einer Arbeitsplatte (1) einer Schleifmaschine. Sie besteht im wesentlichen aus einem flach angeordneten elastischen Stützring (5) mit im wesentlichen runden Querschnitt. In die lichte Weite (8) des Stützringes ist das Ellbogengelenk (9) einsetzbar. Die Abmessungen von Querschnittsradius (14) und lichter Weite (8) sind so gewählt, daß das abgewinkelte in die lichte Weite eingesetzte Ellbogengelenk (9) die lichte Weite nicht vollständig durchdringt.
