An air cleaner, particularly an extractor hood (1) for installation over cookers or the like, comprising a fan (3) which draws in and discharges cooking vapours produced and which is disposed inside a pressure chamber (6) and is provided with an air outlet (9) for recirculatory operation and with an air outlet (10, 10') which can be brought into communication with an air exhaust system and which is closed by a plate (14 or 14') during recirculatory operation of the extractor hood (1). To enable the extractor hood (1) to be changed over by the user when required from recirculatory operation to air exhaust operation or from summer to winter operation, the closure plate (14 or 14') for the exhaust air outlet (10 or 10') is pivotally mounted and on the front (7) of the extractor hood (1) a flap (8) is provided to control the air outlet (9) for recirculatory operation. <IMAGE>

Luftreinigungsgerät, insbesondere über Küchenherden od.dgl. anzubringende Dunstabzugshaube (1) mit einem die anfallenden Kockwrasen absaugenden und fördernden Sauggebläse (3) innerhalb eines Druckraumes (6), die mit einem Luftauslaß (9) für Umluftbetrieb und mit einem mit einem Abluftsystem in Verbindung bringbaren Luftauslaß (10,10') versehen ist, wobei letzterer bei Umluftbetrieb der Dunstabzugshaube (1) durch eine Platte (14 bzw. 14') verschlossen ist. Damit die Dunstabzugshaube (1) von der Bedienungsperson bei Bedarf von Umluftbetrieb auf Abluftbetrieb bzw. von Sommer auf Winterbetrieb umgeschaltet werden kann, ist die Verschluß-Platte (14 bzw. 14') für den Abluft-Luftauslaß (10 bzw. 10') schwenkbar gelagert, und an der Frontseite (7) der Dunstabzugshaube (1) ist eine den Luftauslaß (9) für Umluftbetrieb beherrschende Klappe 98) vorgesehen.
