[origin: US4420899A] A combined function mechanism for an automatic pistol including a magazine and a magazine housing, which mechanism interrupts the kinematic chain between the trigger and the hammer when the magazine is not fully engaged within its housing, thereby preventing operation of the hammer by the trigger, the mechanism also serving to eject the magazine from the housing when the magazine locking/unlocking device is actuated.

Ejecteur de chargeur pour pistolets automatiques ayant une carcasse (1) contenant un logement (2) pour un chargeur (3) et supportant un moyen de verrouillage (4) du chargeur dans ledit logement, une détente (5) et une chaîne cinématique (7-14) de commande de percusson, caractérisé en ce qu'il est substantiellement constitué par un organe (15), porté par ladite carcasse (1) et dont une partie (18) fait salle dans ledit logement (2), cet organe (15) étant destiné être refoulé par ledit chargeur (3) lors de son introduction dans son logement (2), ce refouiement entraînant soit la déformation élastique dudit organe (15), soit la mise sous tension d'un ressort (16) associé à ce dernier.
