Abstract (en)
A garment inspection device 10 comprises a base 12, a double acting pneumatic cylinder 14 extending upwardly from the base, a central column 16 extending upwardly from the piston rod 22 of the pneumatic cylinder, and a frame structure 18 which is mounted on the column 16 for rotation about a vertical axis. The width of the frame structure 18 can be adjusted by means of adjustable arms 66. In use, a garment 100 is pulled over the frame structure 18 for inspection. There is a fluorescent tube 30 which illuminates the garment from the inside when in position on the frame structure 18. The device has a foot pedal 92 whereby compressed air can be admitted to the top or to the bottom of the pneumatic cylinder 14 in order to displace the column 16 and the frame structure 18 upwardly or downwardly with respect to the base 12.
