A continuously running centrifuge for separating sugar crystals from their mother liquor and allowing them to be mixed with a syrup comprises a tank (10) in which is mounted a rotating basket (14) having a vertical axis, in the form of an inverted frustum and equipped with a sieve (16), a collector (36) surrounding the basket and nozzles arranged in the form of spraying booms (32, 32') which project a syrup on to the crystals expelled from the basket. To improve the mixing of the crystals and the mixing syrup while ensuring intense agitation of these products by means of the flow of air created by the rotation of the basket, the collector is formed by a flat ring (36) of low width attached to the wall of the tank (10), slightly below the upper edge of the basket (14) and the centrifuge further comprises a circular skirt (34) solidly fixed to the lid (35) of the tank and placed above the upper edge of the basket, and an annular trough (40) to receive the mixture of crystals and syrup, the inclined bottom (44) whereof possesses a plurality of outlet apertures (42). <IMAGE>

Essoreuse centrifuge à marche continue pour séparer les cristaux de sucre de leur liqueur-mère et permettre l'empâtage constituée par une cuve (10) dans laquelle est monté un panier rotatif (14) à axe vertical, en forme de tronc de cône inversé et équipé d'un tamis (16), un collecteur (36) entourant le panier et des buses en rampes d'arrosage (32, 32') qui projettent un jus sucré sur les cristaux expulsés du panier. Pour améliorer le mélange des cristaux et du jus d'empâtage en assurant un brassage intense de ces produits au moyen du courant d'air créé par la rotation du panier, le collecteur est constitué par un anneau plan (36) de faible largeur, fixé sur la paroi de la cuve (10), légèrement au-dessous du bord supérieur du panier (14) et l'essoreuse comporte en outre une jupe circulaire (34) solidaire du couvercle (35) de la cuve et placée au-dessus du bord supérieur du panier et une auge annulaire (40) pour la réception du mélange de cristaux et de jus dont le fond incliné (44) comporte plusieurs orifices de sortie (42).
