Un ventilateur conforme à l'invention comporte au moins deux pales (12, 13) fixées sur un moyeu (15) destiné à être solidarisé à un arbre moteur, une grille (11) de protection solidaire du moyeu (15), protégeant l'avant du ventilateur et se prolongeant, sur la périphérie du ventilateur, par une virole (10) assurant la protection des extrémités radiales des pales. Application à des appareillages industriels, semi-industriels ou ménagers, groupes frigorifiques par exemple.
