Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0051184A1] 1. A rectangular lamp frame consisting of two transverse and two longitudinal walls (1, 1') which have an identical profile with an essentially C-shaped cross-section and edge strips (14, 15) which are inwardly bent and which together with the inner side of a transverse of longitudinal wall, as the case may be, form guide grooves (11, 12), which have opening angles (alpha, beta) of less than 90 degrees measured in relation to a straight reference line (G) passing through the openings of the guide grooves, with corner connectors (2) for connecting the longitudinal and transverse walls (1, 1') to coupling walls (21, 22) which run at right angles to one another and which are inserted into the guide grooves (11, 12) of the longitudinal and transverse walls (1, 1') by means of their upper and lower edge strips (221, 222), characterised in that each corner connector is an integral, angularly rigid, shaped part, and which has a stop rib (20) which projects at the outer side of the shaped part, which makes an angle of 45 degrees with each coupling wall (21, 22), and against which abut the dividing surfaces (10, 10') of adjacent longitudinal and transverse walls, which are cut at 45 degrees ; and that from the end regions of each longitudinal or transverse wall, respective connecting lugs (13, 13') project into the underlying coupling wall (21, 22) of the corner connector (2).
