Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0051199A1] 1. A machine for boxing precut panels forming the support for a product, filling pseudo-hemispherical cells formed in said panels and for arranging said panels in a staggered formation in said box, which comprises a platform (2) forming a support for a carriage (3) on which are mounted two plates (4, 5) for receiving precut panels (8) which are alternately displaceable in the horizontal direction between two end positions of which one corresponds to a loading position and the other corresponds to a position in which said panels are divided up into individual portions and ejected, said plates being themselves horizontally displaceable relative to the carriage in a direction inclined at 45 degrees in relation to the direction of travel of said carriage between two end positions separated from one another by a distance equal to half the diagonal of the square formed by joining the centres of four adjacent cells ; a horizontal plate (7) for receiving the successive layers of individual panel elements thus cut out which is alternately displaceable in the vertical direction between two end positions, the upward movement being continuous whilst the downward movement takes place in successive steps into a package (9) along the inner walls of which it travels ; and a system for controlling said receiving plate which cooperates with an assembly of elements for automatically controlling and coordinating the various movements of the machine as a whole.
