Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0051382A2] Mixing apparatus as disclosed in published European Patent Application No. 0000827 is provided with means (20) for sensing the electric current drawn by the motor driving the rotary agitator of the apparatus. In response to a fall in the motor current, an override signal (24) is produced to cause the agitator to be lowered automatically back into the mixing vessel irrespective of the agitator positioning control signals (16, 18) derived from the noise level sensor (14) of the apparatus.
