[origin: US4418725A] An improved hook for a double-lift open shed Jacquard machine, each hook having first and second oppositely facing catches and having a boss for contacting in the low position of the hook a finger of the machine to displace the hook so that one of the catches engages a gripper of one frame, the boss being so located that the hook when in low position in displaced when pressed transversely by a needle so that the other catch engages a gripper of the other frame.
