[origin: WO8103127A1] The crosscountry ski binding is provided with a stirrup intended to overlap the front upper edge of the shoe sole to prevent the shoe tip to unhook from a base plate fixed on the ski. Said plate comprises vertical pins intended to penetrate into holes provided in the shoe sole. The stirrup is mounted movably in the side walls of the base plate and is secured in the closed position by means of a spring lever. After releasing the lever from its hooked position, the stirrup is in an open position and is held in that position by a retainer spring.
