Closure for plastics container with a cover (1) provided with a closure element (21) surrounding and interlocking with the upper end of the container's wall and with a circular groove (4) connected to the closure element, the upper edge of the container (2) comprising at its outer part retaining lugs (17) and the outer wall of the closure element (21) surrounding the container's wall being provided with openings (9) corresponding to the retaining lugs, the cover being closes by a band, characterized in that the upper end of the container's wall comprises an enlargement (24) and the cover a bolting rib (23) hooking behind this enlargement and in that the closing band is a tear off band formed in one piece with the cover and comprising centering grooves (19) located below the openings (9).
