1. A side channel centrifugal compressor, in which the rotor hub (2) is provided with at least two rings of blades (3, 4) to which are assigned active annular channels (51, 52) in the housing (5), and in which a shared central body (6) is arranged between the blade rings, characterised in that the central body (6) is additionally provided with at least two active annular channels (61, 62) which are assigned to the blade sides (31, 41) of the double-suction blade rings (3, 4) which face towards the central body.

Um mindestens vier aktive Ringkanäle (51, 52, 61, 62) zu erhalten, werden auf einer Nabe (2) zwei doppelflutige Schaufelkränze (3, 4) angeordnet, deren Ringkanäle (51, 52) im Gehäuse (5) und Ringkanäle (61, 62) in einem geteilten Mittellkörper (6) zugeordnet sind. Durch diese Konstruktion erhält man einen relativ leicht montierbaren Verdichter.
