Abstract (en)

1. Roller shutter with a hanging of horizontal plates or slats (4), on the faces or ends of which are fixed horizontal journals (6) and are guided in vertical guide rails, each between two guide flanges (12, 14), with which, from a specified upper slat, all slats which are disposed therebeneath are articulated on traction members in order to be pivotable about a horizontal axis and are connected by means of turning members to a slat-pivoting assembly, which is able to be pivoted from a roller shutter position into a louvre position, wherein one of the guide flanges (12) is mounted to be displaceable relatively to the other guide flange (14) and is loaded with a force directed in opposition to the other guide flange (14) ; wherein the end journals (6) of the slats (4) have an oval or approximately rectangular cross-section, of which the longitudinal axis extends substantially vertically when the slats are depending, and wherein the displaceable guide flange (12) presses the journals (6) with the slats (4) downwardly into the vertical position.
