Abstract (en)
1. A method for reinforcing the edges of a band constituted of spirals (2, 3) assembled by their imbrication or by connecting rods (5), in which method on the edge of the band an additional reinforcing element (10) is introduced which rests on the ends of the spirals (2, 3), characterized in that said element (10) is constituted by a wire comprising a series of spires (12) or undulations (15), at least one spire (12) or undulation (15) of which is introduced into each spiral (2, 3) along their axial direction.

Procédé de renforcement de lisière de bande (1) constituée de spirales (2, 3) assemblées entre elles par leur imbrication ou par des joncs (5) de jonctionnement, il consiste à introduire en lisière de la bande dans les extrémités des spirales (2, 3) un élément de renforcement (10) qui s'appuie sur les ertrémités des spirales. Application notamment aux feutres et habillages de papeterie.
