[origin: WO8103122A1] A microsurgical scissors uses a rotary cutting action and biased blades (13, 14) that intersect in a travelling point of contact. One blade (13) is situated on the end of a tubular shaft (11) and a second blade (14) on a rod (12) that is rotatable within the shaft (11). The blades (13, 14) are angled so the blades intersect at a point of contact. To assure a precise shearing relationship, the rod (12) is biased rearward in order to bear the rod blade (14) against the shaft blade (13). An actuating mechanism (23, 25) in the handle (10) translates a linear finger motion into rotary motion of the rod. The blades (13, 14) cut clearly and surely without imparting undue tissue trauma.

Des ciseaux de microchirurgie ont des lames inclinees ayant une action tranchante rotative (13, 14) dont le point d'intersection est un point de contact mobile. Un couteau (13) est situe sur l'extremite d'un arbre tubulaire (11) et un second couteau (14) sur une tige (12) qui est rotatif a l'interieur de l'arbre (11). Les couteaux (13, 14) font un angle de maniere a s'intersecter au point de contact. Pour assurer une relation coupante precise, la tige (12) est inclinee vers l'arriere de maniere a appuyer le couteau de tige (14) contre le couteau d'arbre (13). Un mecanisme d'actionnement (23, 25) dans la poignee (10) effectue une translation du mouvement lineaire des doigts en un mouvement rotatif de la tige. Les couteaux (13, 14) coupent de maniere nette et sure sans endommager les tissus.
