[origin: US4371634A] A microcapsule-containing wax composition, which comprises (a) microcapsules of from 2 to 10 mu m diameter, (b) waxes and (c) dispersants, with or without pigments, fillers, volatile constituents and other agents conventionally present in wax compositions for the hot carbon process. The wall material of the microcapsules is a cross-linked urea-melamine condensate. The wax compositions may be applied over all or part of the surface of a base material, and give deeply colored copies with color-forming (CF) layers.

Mikrokapseln enthaltende Wachsmassen, die aus Mikrokapseln mit einer Wand aus Melamin-Formaldehyd-Kondensationsprodukten, Wachsen, Dispergiermitteln und gegebenenfalls Pigmenten, Füllstoffen, flüchtigen Anteilen und weiteren in Wachsmassen für das Heißcarbonverfahren üblichen Mitteln bestehen. Die Wachsmassen können nach bekannten Verfahren auf das Trägermaterial aufgebracht werden. Mit CF-Schichten erhält man farbstarke Durchschriften. Die Wachsmassen werden durch Eintragen von durch Sprühtrocknung isolierten Mikrokapseln oder von feuchten Mikrokapseln in Wachsschmelzen in Gegenwart von Dispergiermitteln, gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart von Wasser; Homogenisieren der Schmelze und gegebenenfalls Abdestillieren des Wassers hergestellt.
