[origin: WO8103530A1] A shield plate (24) is clamped between the spider (11) of an automotive vehicle wheel and the rotor (14) of a disc brake for that wheel. This plate (24) covers the axially inboard side of the wheel spider (11) and prevents dust given off by the disc brake from getting on the wheel at the axially outboard side of the wheel spider (11), where the dust would be visible and detract from the vehicle wheel's appearance.

Une plaque de protection (24) est fixee entre la brassure (11) de la roue d'un vehicule automobile et le rotor (14) du frein a disque de cette roue. Cette plaque (24) recouvre le cote interieur axial de la brassure (11) et empeche la poussiere degagee par le frein a disque de se fixer sur la roue sur le cote exterieur axial de la brassure de roue (11), ou la poussiere est visible et nuit a l'aspect de la roue du vehicule.
