Abstract (en)
For deoxidising, micro-alloying or inoculating a metal melt during ingot casting, it is proposed to combine the appropriate additive with a known protective element which is arranged at the bottom of the ingot mould for protection against the pouring stream, in order thus to be able to fix, so as to be equal and optimal, the time of addition of the additive, whether it be a deoxidant, a micro-alloying constituent or an inoculating additive, for all casting processes and also to optimise the added amount.

Zum Desoxidieren, Mikrolegieren oder Impfen einer Schmelze bsim Kokillengießen wird vorgsschlagen, den entsprechenden Zusatzstoff mit einem bekannten Schutzelement, welches zum Schutz gegen den Gießstrahl am Kokillenboden angeordnet wird, zu verbinden, um so den Zeitpunkt der Zugabe des Zusatzstoffes, sei es nun ein Desoxidationsmittel, ein Mikrolegierungsbestandteil oder ein Impfzusatz, für alle Gießvorgänge gleich und optimal anzusetzen und auch die Zugabemenge optimieren zu können.
