[origin: US4479493A] Inhalation apparatus for test animals for investigating the biological effect of substances mixed with respiratory air. It comprises a distributor chamber which is connected to a respiratory air preparation unit and has several openings, animal tubes connected to the openings and suction devices, connected to a disposal system, for removing the waste air. Each transition piece between the head and trunk of the animal tubes has holes connecting the animal tubes inserted into the apparatus to the suction devices.

Inhalationsapparatur für Versuchstiere zur Untersuchung der biologischen Wirkung von Stoffen, die der Atemluft beigemischt sind. Sie umfaßt eine an eine Atemluftaufbereitung angeschlossene Verteilerkammer (1), die mehrere ?Öffnungen? aufweist, und mit den ?Öffnungen ? in Verbindung stehende Tierröhren (3) sowie Unterdruckeinrichtungen (2) verbunden mit einem Entsorgungssystem zum Entfernen der Abluft. Die Tierröhren (3) besitzen am Übergang (13) vom Kopf- (11) zum Rumpfteil (12) Durchbrechungen (14), zu denen bei in die Apparatur eingesetzten Tierröhren Verbindungen mit den Unterdruckeinrichtungen hergestellt sind.
