[origin: EP0053759A2] A mixing device for dry substances, in particular for mixing and cooling plastics, in whose approximately cylindrical mixing vessel (1) a stirring shaft (5) with mixing blades (7) is arranged centrally so as to be driveable by a motor. The technical problem concerns the automatic cleaning without disassembling the mixing tools or opening the lid. Arranged on the mixing blades (7) are air lines (9) which are connected to an air channel (8) of the stirring shaft (5) and reach to the ends of the mixing blades. The air lines (9) lead to the mouths (10, 13) of nozzles which are directed towards the container wall, floor wall, the lid and the walls of any cooling units. <IMAGE>
