Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0054137A1] 1. A toner transfer film for picking up a toner image from a toner-treated surface and then fixing the transferred toner image, which consists essentially of A. a clear, transparent base having a thickness of about 70 to 205 mu m and B. a layer, firmly anchored thereto, which is also clear and transparent and is capable of picking up the toner image, which layer is solid and substantially colorless, has a temporary slight surface tack at least under the conditions of toner image transfer, which surface tack disappears when the toner transfer film is aftertreated, has a thickness of about 0,8 to 90 mu m and consists of (1) 35 to 75% by weight, based on the sum of the components of layer B, of at least one polymeric and/or prepolymeric binder, (2) 20 to 64.9% by weight, based on the sum of the components of layer B, of at least one low molecular weight, ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable compound having a boiling point above 100 degrees C at atmospheric pressure, (3) from 0.1 to 10% by weight, based on the sum of the components of layer B, of a mixture of at least one polymerization initiator that can be activated by heat, and of at least one polymerization initiator that can be activated by light, which initiators form free radicals, and (4) from 0 to 30% by weight, based on the sum of the components of layer B, of additives.
