Abstract (en)
The shuttle (1) for a wire-weaving loom has a plurality of weft bobbins (2) and a guide piece (3) articulated laterally of these and pivotable through approximately 180 DEG and with a row of guide rollers (18) arranged axis-parallel next to one another for the weft wires (6) coming out parallel to one another into the shed. Because the weft bobbins (2) are arranged coaxially in line behind one another in the longitudinal direction of the shuttle (1), this ensures an especially narrow design and, at the same time, a high storage capacity of the weft bobbins (2) used. Moreover, the individual weft filaments (6) can be drawn off forwards uniformly from each weft bobbin (2) via guide- rollers blocks (15, 15a) arranged on the longitudinal side of the shuttle (1), without impeding one another, a uniform filament tension is achieved, and the bobbin change is speeded up considerably by a coaxial arrangement of the weft bobbins (2) on a common rotary axle (7). <IMAGE>
