[origin: CA1157201A] TITLE OF THE INVENTION: BUFFER SYSTEM FOR FASTENER DRIVING DEVICES The present buffer system for a fastener driving device includes two cooperating buffer elements located at the bottom of the driving cylinder. A first buffer element of hard elastic material rests on the inwardly facing surface of the cylinder bottom in such a manner that at least a portion of the surface of the first buffer element contacting the bottom is movable relative to the bottom of the driving cylinder. A second buffer element made of an elastic material softer than the hard elastic material of the first buffer element, rests on the first buffer element.

Ein Puffersystem (15) bei Einschlaggeräten zum Einschlagen von Nägeln od. dgl. besteht aus einem hartelastischen Pufferelement (16) und einem weichelastischen Pufferelement (22), wobei das Pufferelement (16) bewegbar am Boden (17) von Zylinderfuß (9) angeordnet ist. Damit wird beim normalen Nageln nur der weiche Teil der Federkennlinie und erst bei Leerschlägen deren harter Teil ausgenützt, was zu einer deutlichen Herabsetzung des Körperschalls beim normalen Nageln führt. Bei starker Beanspruchung des Puffersystems (15) wird die überschüssige Schlagenergie durch Reibung zwischen Pufferelement (16) und Boden (17) vernichtet.
