Abstract (en)
A method for producing a male gametocide effect in small grain plant which employs 2-substituted cinchoninic acid compound in an effective amount, and which comprises applying to the plant the said compound at a time when the inflorescence primordium is present. The compounds and compositions containing these compounds for use in the method are claimed, as well as a hybridzation method employing such a male gametocide effect.
